My story
Maksim Belyakov

My path began in IT education. Then came Sailet, Helpcenter and an international Web3 venture.

Today I focus on business development and partnerships. I want to meet people to work on client projects, create products and build businesses with teams that can run them.

Four different chapters

Teaching, building a company, helping families and launching abroad.

01

IT education

Education came first

Before Sailet, I taught and held a leadership role in IT education. Later, I returned through college automation projects and research into AI in hiring.

Education remains part of my work: from discussions about preparing IT professionals to the ways technology changes learning and work.

Sailet

I founded Sailet in 2017. At first, I handled sales and marketing myself, bringing in designers and developers for individual projects.

Today the company builds business software and automates processes. My role is business development, key partnerships and new directions.

Helpcenter

We launched a free service connecting families in need with people willing to help. More than a thousand families received support through Helpcenter.

The Sailet team later automated the application workflow. Instead of relying only on email and messaging, the service gained an application form and an interface for its operators.

Web3 venture

A separate international Web3 venture launched in Georgia and raised $250,000. I worked on a startup in an emerging market, with a different kind of uncertainty from client software work.

This was a separate chapter in my entrepreneurial experience. The investment belongs to that venture, not to Sailet’s current business.

Reasons to get in touch

I enjoy meeting people who know their field and see an opportunity to do more together. Here are a few ways a conversation could start.

Or message me on Telegram
01

Clients and joint projects

You work with businesses and see a problem that needs technology. We can explore a joint project: you understand the client and their context; Sailet contributes the technical solution and delivery.

Starting the conversation

For example: “I work with companies in this industry. One client has this problem. I’d like to discuss whether we could solve it together.”

02

An industry problem worth solving

You know a problem that comes up across companies, and people who need it solved. I would like to explore the demand together and see whether a solution could become a product.

Building a business together

You have grown a product, team or sales operation and want to build your next business with a partner. I would like to meet and discuss what we could develop together and how we would share responsibility.

Starting the conversation

For example: “I built this part of a business and achieved this result. Now I see an opportunity here. I’d like to explore working together.”

04

An existing product or business

You already have a product and customers, and your next step calls for a technology or business partner. I’m open to discussing where my experience and relationships could help. My involvement would depend on the situation.

Starting the conversation

For example: “We have a product for this audience. Customers use it for this purpose. For our next stage, we need a partner who can help with this challenge.”

Ideas I share in public

How Sailet began, how Helpcenter worked, and why custom development is not always necessary.

My perspective · Bluescreen, 2024

You may not need custom software

If an existing product solves the problem, custom software may be unnecessary. First, test the idea, the process and people’s willingness to pay. That is the subject of my Bluescreen column.
